Question by Nessa* Lea: How do I use my new Hello Kitty rice cooker?
I received a Hello Kitty rice cooker for my birthday. I LOVE it, my only problem is the instructions are in Japanese. The model I received was from amazon, and amazon called it “hello kitty rice cooker: bunny” It is pink with hello kitty and of course, bunnies on it. I have never owned a rice cooker. So this is a new experience for me. Does anyone else know how to use this particular model?

Most rice cookers are for Calrose rice or Japanese rice. Normally the ratio is one up of rice to one cup of water. I only buy Japanese rice cookers. You have to play around with water to rice ratio. Mine is 1/4 cup less water (IE two cups rice to 1 3/4 cup water)
The process is put rice into the remove container , add rice, rinse rice till water runs clear, replace container , close lid. press cook. If the rice dose not have a soak cycle I like to give the rice 1/2 hour soak before cooking.
